I’ll admit to cheating a tiny bit today – I made the dutch braid and then split it into two braids before I bunned it. To be a technical bunned dutch braid, it should have only been a single braid bun. Unfortunately, my hair is still a bit too short for that to look nice, so you have a two strand bun coming off the dutch braid instead.
1) Make a dutch braid. A dutch braid is essentially an inside out french braid – instead of crossing the outside strands *over* the center strand, you cross them *under*.
2) When the braid reaches the nape of your neck, split the hair and make it into two English braids all the way down. Tie off.
3) Coil the braids in the same direction and secure.
